Lyons Gardens is a purpose built service consisting of two bungalows. One bungalow is designed for up to 6 people who are usually physically mobile and may need support to manage their behaviours. The other bungalow is designed for up to 5 people who may be wheelchair users or who tend to prefer a more passive lifestyle. Each bungalow is self contained with its own lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and staff room/ office. All bedrooms within Lyons Gardens are built to a minimum standard of 15sqm with an additional en-suite toilet and wash hand basin. Externally the home is served by landscaped gardens providing opportunities for relaxation, space and activity as required.

Lyons Gardens was established to provide respite care for carers and service users from the Peterborough area. Respite care is recognised as being an opportunity to meet friends and spend time away from the family home, whilst providing respite care for family carers. It is also an opportunity for the development of independence skills for potential alternative accommodation options for those service users currently living with family carers.
